Search IEEE/IET Electronic Library (IEL)

Step 1:

Access IEEE/IET Electronic Library (IEL).  (If you're off-campus, you will be prompted to login with your myPVCC username and password).  IEEE stands for "Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers."  It was founded in 1884, and it is one of the largest professional organizations engineers and scientists.

Step 2:

Enter your search terms in the search box.  Change "All Metadata" in the drop-down box to "Document Title."  This will limit your results to only those where your words appear in the title of the article, paper, or report.

tip

  • The database contains mostly papers presented at conferences, but there are 100+ journals published by this organization.  Limit your results using the options at the top of your results to one or the other, if necessary.

  • You can also limit your results by date.  For topics in engineering, it is important that information is current.  Use the slide on the left.
