How do I search Sage Video?

Search Sage Video

Step 1:

Access Sage Video. (If you're off-campus, you will be prompted to login with your myPVCC username and password)


Step 2:

Enter your search terms in the search box, and click Search.  Note that this database only covers the areas of counseling, psychotherapy, criminology, criminal justice, and nursing.

Step 3:

Review the results.  Note the length of the video, the title, and click "Show Full Summary" to learn what the video is about.  Click the Title to watch it.

Step 4:

Click the play button to watch the video.

  • The icons below the transcript are useful, especially the "Download PDF" icon.  Download a transcript of the video, which is helpful when quoting it in your research papers.  Click "Cite" for a sample citation in various formats (always verify their accuracy), and click "Get link" for a permalink to the video that will never break.

  • The videos are divided into chapters, which are specific segments of the video.  This is help if you want to quickly jump to a specific subtopic in the video.  For example, if you're doing a paper on private prisons, and you want to know more about them in the United States, you can click Chapter 3 and jump to that point in the video.
