How do I watch videos on Kanopy through the app?

Step 1:

Download the Kanopy app to your phone from the App Store or the Google Play Store.  

Step 2:

Click "Sign Up" to create a Kanopy account.  Use your preferred email address.  It does not have to be your college email address.  You can also sign up with your Google or Facebook account.  

Step 3:

Click "Add a library," and search for "Piedmont Virginia Community College."  Sign in with your MyPVCC credentials.  Our library is now added to your app.

Step 4:

Start watching!  (Note: You cannot download Kanopy movies to your device to view offline. According to Kanopy's website, they are working on adding this functionality. Stay tuned!)

• To enable closed captions/subtitles, tap on the speech bubble that appears in the top right corner of your screen.  Select your preferred language, and you will automatically be brought back to the video with closed captions/subtitles playing on your screen.
