How do I access library materials from off-campus?

Step 1:

Go to the library's homepage.

Step 2:

Decide what type of library material you are looking for:

• Background information: Use the Start Here search box.
• Books or Ebooks: Use the Find Books search box.
• Articles: Use the Find Articles search box.

If you can't find what you need using those search boxes, try selecting a database from our Database List.

Step 3:

Login with your myPVCC username and password.  Only PVCC faculty, staff, and current students (including dual enrollment students) may access library materials from off-campus.

• Forgot your username and password?  You can reset your password or find your username by clicking the "Forgot Password" or "Forgot Username" on the MyPVCC page.
• Are you having trouble accessing our library materials, even though you're a current PVCC faculty, staff, or student?  If so, call us at 434.961.5309, or email us at reference@pvcc.edu.
• Please know that our online library materials use a proxy server to provide access to them when off-campus.  If you are trying to access them at your job, it's very possible that they've blocked proxy connections on their network.  Try it from home, and contact us if you're still having issues.
