How do I learn online?

Online learning has many benefits, but it is not without challenges.

The greatest benefit of online learning is its flexibility: students taking self-paced and asynchronous courses are no longer tied to a time and a place, and students taking synchronous courses do not have to leave their homes or offices to take a class.

The greatest challenges are the distractions that can crop up, such as children needing attention, package deliveries, phone calls, etc., or the challenges presented by the student's personality, skills, and technological ability.

• For help finding resources, use the information in the library's playbooks. Librarians can help you understand the playbooks, but they cannot conduct research for you.
• For help with formatting citations, please consult the library's citation styles playbooks. Please note the librarians cannot help you with citation generators or with any citation guide other than the library's. 
• For help with composition issues (such as spelling, grammar, flow, etc.), please visit the Writing Center.
